The role:
As a Data Entry Officer at Latis Scientific, you will be required quickly and accurately log incoming samples into our internal Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) database. It is the role of the Data Entry Officer to enter all client and sample details from accompanying paperwork, and enter them onto our LIMS database. The Data Entry Officer will then print the relevant documents needed, for the laboratories to analyse the samples, and physically transfer the samples to the relevant laboratories for analysing. This is not your typical data entry, desk job!

This role is Tuesday-Saturday, shift pattern, ranging from 6am-8.30pm (Tues-Fri) and 6am-5.30pm on a Saturday

Which skills and experiences you will need to succeed in this role?

Ensure samples are manually received
Sort and prioritise samples for processing
Undertake data entry using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) with minimal mistakes according to UKAS requirements
Scanning and attaching photos and paperwork onto the LIMS system
Recording and entering results and maintaining records
Undertake training of registration officers.

Previous data entry or administrative experience is essential.
Good typing and numeric typing skills
Good spelling, punctuation and grammar is essential
Good working Knowledge of Microsoft (Particularly Outlook)
Knowledge of database software, spreadsheets and word processing is desirable
Strong reading comprehension
Attention to detail.

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake this challenging post. The ideal applicant will have a good knowledge of MS Office, past experience in data entry, excellent written and oral communication skills.
