The Mercat de la Vall will return, as is tradition, this first Saturday of May. The fair of creative crafts, art and agri-food products will also offer workshops that will take place during the mornings and afternoons of the fair. The Historical Center of Andorra la Vella will be the stage that will host, once again, the event that will have 30 stops. The fair will last until the month of October, opening on several days until autumn, corresponding to this Saturday, May 6, next June 3, July 1, August 5 and 6, taking advantage of the Festa Major in the capital, on September 2 and, finally, on October 7 will be the last day of the Mercat de la Vall. In this edition, the innovative itinerant animations that will take place throughout the old quarter from 6.30pm will be premiered.

The performances will be inaugurated on May 6 with a concert by Paulina Sánchez, violinist, followed by David Amat, saxophonist who will perform on June 3. On July 1st you can enjoy Simone’s violin music, and on September 2nd the children’s show by La Cremallera Teatre, entitled La Maleta Màgica. To conclude this series of events, the Magician Esparragow will conclude the fair with a magic show.

Regarding the workshops that the Mercat de la Vall will offer in this edition, the number of these has been increased to a total of nine, in addition to extending the opening hours to the public in the mornings, at 12:00 p.m. as in the afternoons, at 5:00 p.m. The offer of workshops will be diversified around the themes of the market, with activities to learn how to take photographs with objects, soap with recycled oil, flowers with newspaper, bookmarks, headbands with natural flowers, flowers with iron, beer traditional, different engraving techniques, magnets with collage and candles with beeswax.

This will be the eighth edition of the Mercat de la Vall, born with the aim of bringing an added attraction to the area, at the same time that the activity of the country’s producers, artists and artisans is made known. The fair is the result of the cooperation between the Tourist and Commercial Promotion area of ​​the Comú d’Andorra la Vella, the Association of Merchants of the Historic Center, the agricultural producers and artisans of Andorra and the association of plastic creators, La Xarranca Since 2016, the fair has succeeded in revitalizing the Historic Center, becoming a point of reference for it.
